The road going to Hinatuan was a very bumpy and muddy ride. It was muddy because some part of the area was raining.
The road going to Enchanted River |
Before going to Enchanted River, the driver drop us off at the small wet market where we bought our food for lunch (crab about 400/kl, rice 70/kl and chicken for my nephew who has an allergies from eating shellfish). The people there in the market will cook it (its either spicy, garlic or steam. We preferred it steam because it has no charge) and they will deliver it to you, they will just give a number. Aside from crabs, they also have shrimps, fish, curacha and squid. And some other ready cook or made food.
After went to enchanted river, walking.
There is a parking lot for cars in Enchanted River.
The place has an entrance fee (php):
Adult: 30, child: 5
Because there are a lot of toursit that day, we have no choice but to rent a rubber table and chair. It was a rainy but a very hot day. We were not very comfortable with the rubber table and chair. So, asked the caretaker there if we can occupy a well covered cottage if someone leaves, and he said yes. Before our food was served, a group of friends left a booth type cottage, and we immediately occupied the place and paid extra.
The cottages fee (php) :
Rubber table and 4 chairs with umbrella : 50
Green big cottage with 2 benches : 50
Booth type cottage (we rented this) : 100
Tent type cottage : 100
Multi purpose building : 400
The river's caretaker doesn't allowed visitors to go and swim in the river without a lifevest. Unless you can prove to them that you are a professional swimmer. They have a lifevest for rent : 30/hr.
In our part, in order to save money, I borrowed some lifevest and snorkling gears from my head nurse.
Swimming time.
It was a nice experience swimming with the fishes. You will be amaze when you come here. The water is so blue!!! However, what I don't like about the place was the comfort room. There are so dirty, no maintenance at all. Some people there in order to take a bath, they do it outside and ask someone to pump the water (this is what we did). I Hope they can fix this problem. But overall, it was really enchanting.

They have a feeding time at 12noon, but we weren't able to witness this because we arrived at around 12.15, too bad. But there also a 3pm feeding time but by request. Maybe some did the request because we were able to watch it. Unfortunely, there were only a few fish keep jumping from the water because of the rain. :(

We left Enchanted river at around 3.30pm because it started to rain very very hard and I am worried about our safety and as well as our car. We arrived in Davao at around 9pm.
Thank you Lord for the SAFE trip. To our driver, sponsors and to my super mom and dad for allowing us to have this trip.
I hope we can visit this place with the complete fambam and visit Britannia Group of Islands, in GOD's perfect time.
Thank you for reading. ;)
