Camp Sabros: Zipline

Rika, Me and Bong
Camp Sabros is one of the well known outdoor establishment here in Mindanao. It is located of Barangay Kapatagan at Digos City.

How to get to Camp Sabros? From Davao City to Digos City travel time  is 30mins to 1hr via van or bus from Ecoland terminal, depending on the traffic. In our case, instead of riding a bus, we choose the Kidapawan route to Digos City, and told the conductor to drop us at Camp Sabros, Kapatagan Road. The fare was 170/each as of 2013.

The van left at 9AM at SM City Ecoland Van Terminal and we arrived at Kapatagan, Digos City at 9.45 AM.

You will know if you are in the right track if you saw the Mt. Apo Signage.

From the road you will see the "habal-habal" station. "Habal-habal" is the only mode of transportation at Brgy. Kapatagan.

Some roads are being constructed when going up to Camp Sabros.

From the main road the travel time is 1hr. Fare: 200/way.

Trees and Fog

Scenery along the way

And we are finally here.

The signage

You have two option on how to get there, its either you ride a horse with a fee or hike all the way up. In our case, we decided to hike,

And the walking begins.

Sports Unlimited Signage

And now we are in Camp Sabros. The camp has no entranc fee

Camp Sabros is definitely breath-taking. And because we were there during rainy season, Mr. Mt. Apo was covered by fog/clouds. :(

The camp have a lot of guard dogs, you better watch your food, or he will get it and eat it without you looking.
